The North Raleigh Model Railroad Club NTRAK layout will be located in the Visitor Center (old Courthouse Building) on Anderson Street, and will be open all day Saturday. No charge.
The layout will also be open for Selma area school children on Friday, October 1, 2010

2010 South Eastern States 3rd Annual Prototype Modelers Meet

Two days of clinics, model displays and modeling 'hands-on' demonstrations. Learn 'how-to' modeling techniques — how to build freight and passenger cars, and enhance their appearance. Build trestles and various structures. Weather your models and learn tool use techniques to create prototype looking models. Plus Friday evening slideshow and bucket raffle to win something that you just might need.

This show includes: the sale of model railroad equipment, supplies, tools, videos, books, photos, memorabilia and train sets; operating layouts in N, HO, O, G and Lego scales; hourly door prizes; model railroad clinics; and white elephant tables; train doctor; all scales test track. Scouts will also be working towards their Merit Badge in Model Railroading.

The Carolina Piedmont Division invites you to come to the Heart of Carolina for the 2011 MER Convention to be held the last weekend in October (27â€"30) 2011. We have scheduled four days of model railroading activities: clinics, contests, modular layouts, a live auction, layout tours, prototype tours, a banquet with featured speaker, awards presentation, non rail activities and a train show. There will be much to see, learn, do and enjoy.
